This plant makes an excellent tankmate for Sarracenia. It is not a carnivorous plant but it grows well in peat or peat and perlite and in the same conditions of humidity, temperature and light as sarracenia. It has a low and bushy growth and its leaves turn red during the cold months. It produces red berries, the famous American cranberry.
