Medinilla magnifica

The medinilla lives in tropical areas, it is an epiphyte, it often grows hanging from trunks or reds, therefore it likes temperatures above 15 degrees up to 30 degrees and a light, porous and airy basic soil. Its cultivation is very similar to the orchid, it likes indirect but abundant light all year round. Monthly fertilizations should be carried out with fertilizer for orchids or with the addition of osmocote every six months, especially in the hot months and with maximum activity of the plant. Watering only with rain or distilled water must be carefully controlled, the soil must be just moist but not soaked.
They should be more frequent during the summer and windy season, compared to the winter where the medinilla have less need of water.
Instead, increase the sprays with distilled or rain water on the leaves, not on their large pink flowers
The ideal soil for this plant is a mix of peat and perlite proposed in the materials section, very airy but at the same time with a high degree of humidity.
