This plant is shipped in bulb form. In spring it produces an inflorescence that emits a strong and unpleasant odor to attract pollinating insects.
It grows well in field soil or universal soil with the addition of manure.
It does not like frost so the pot or bulb should be kept in a cold but not freezing room and watering should be suspended during the winter rest period. While it should be kept slightly damp to wet during the growing season, but never soaked.
